Ken Lang is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Cosimo Venture partners in Boston. Prior to joining Cosimo, Mr. Lang was principal at Form Holdings, NASDAQ: FH (formerly Vringo, Inc.) where he served as CTO and as a Board Member. He previously served as Chief Operating Offier at Keane Advisors, where he devised new algorithms and technology for trading, asset allocation, and private equity.
An inventor and entrepreneur for nearly three decades, Mr. Lang developed an active gaming “holodeck”-style technology and founded Lightspace Corporation to commercialize it, successfully completing an IPO in 2006.
As a doctoral canditate studying artificial intelligence, machine learning and cryptography, Mr. Lang founded WiseWire Corporation, serving as CEO, CTO, and on its Board of Directors. WiseWire was acquired by Lycos in 1998, where Ken later became Lycos’ CTO.
Mr. Lang is a graduate of Duke University and holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics. He received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and served on the faculty at New York University as an Adjunct Professor.
Ken has invented over 40 published and issued patents, two of which were successfully proven in US District Court to be responsible for over 20% of Google’s revenue.
